As Term 2 comes to an end, we look forward to a relaxing holiday and an even more action packed Term 3. This starts with swimming lessons in Weeks 1 and 2.
Unfortunately, Mr. Graham is not retuning next term. We thank him for all of his hard work with the students and organizing multiple carnivals. We wish him all the best in his future challenges.
We also saying farewell to Mrs Pool and Mrs Pritchard who have done a great job assisting us in the front office this term.
We have now switched over to stage 5. This sees a relaxing of restrictions around Covid management. We will endeavor to continue with good hygiene practices. Thank you for your support and patience getting to this point. There is always the chance that we might see a reintroduction of restrictions with another outbreak. I had my first vaccine last week, to do my bit!
We have some exciting projects happening at the school.
With the help of our hardworking P&C we are getting started on redeveloping the junior playground at the rear of the school. Mrs. Kidd is supervising this project and we are getting quotes and investigating how much ground work needs to be undertaken. The school has some great facilities and we are endeavoring to keep them looking good and upgrading where we can.
We also have a new project under way at the front of the school. As part of the school’s recognition of the importance of Aboriginal culture and history, we are having a mural painted. We are very lucky to have secured the services of an up and coming artist. It should be a fantastic attraction to all entering the school.
In order to get the best finish, a section of the wall on the side of Pre-Primary is being prepared.
