SUMMARY:Parent Event - Mystery of the Mathematical Menace (Lighthouse Maths)
DESCRIPTION:Mystery of the Mathematical Menace is a free event with an emphasis on problem-solving\, collaboration\, and creativity – skills your child has developed through the Lighthouse Maths classroom teaching. \nCome along to enjoy an exciting evening of maths activities and work with your child(ren) to solve some maths puzzles\, gather clues and catch the culprit! It can take anywhere from 20 to 80 minutes to solve all the problems; it is ideal that you arrive promptly at the beginning of the session as the Scitech facilitator ‘sets the scene’\, but you do not need to stay for the whole time. \nFamilies will receive some take home materials\, including: \n\nan answer booklet and pencil to record your clues\na booklet of ideas on how to have everyday conversations about maths\, withaccompanying playing cards and dice\na special prize for all participating children who solve the mystery and catch theculprit.
