The Parent Body is represented by both the School Board and The P&C Association
The School Board is formed, under the provisions of the School Education Act 1999, with the fundamental purpose of enabling parents and members of the community to engage in activities that are in the best interests of students and that will enhance the education provided by the school.
The role of the School Board is that of involvement in the governance of the school. This means taking part in the shaping and monitoring of the school’s objectives, priorities and general policy directions.
Members of the School Board include the Principal, teachers, parents and the local community. Its goals are:
- To support the implementation of Department of Education policy
- To support the provision of exemplary and equitable education for all students
- To foster the pursuit of excellence and the development of a positive work ethic throughout the school
- To encourage community spirit and pride in Leeming Primary School.
Meetings are held once a term.

Jacqui Needham
Teacher
I consider myself to be a highly committed, passionate and innovative teacher. I firmly adhere to the notion that we do make a difference, and that we, as educators, have the power to open children’s minds and hearts to the joy of lifelong learning. With this at the forefront of my teaching pedagogy, I ensure every student is on a path of learning development. I have realistic, high expectations of students, that help to build confidence and encourage personal achievement. Being a member of the School Board, has enabled me to engage parents and the wider community in the strategic planning, educational work and success of the school. It’s important we collaborate and support each other to make our schools great places to work and learn, and indeed drive innovation and high expectations for all students.
