This term is going quickly; we have had many events on and have been very busy!
Despite this the students are working hard in class and getting ready for open night (Thursday 6th September) when you will be able to see some of their work.
This year the School Board is holding its annual open meeting after the open night. This will give any parent who wishes to stay around and participate in the meeting the opportunity to do so.
Last week the Year five students had an exciting time at camp. Over three days they were challenged in different ways and learnt lots of new skills. They were trained in how to cooperate to achieve tasks and overcome challenges.
The students were given many opportunities to work with each other and not just their regular friends. It was a very positive occasion and I thank the staff for giving up their precious time. The students were very well behaved which makes it feel like it is worthwhile.
Last week a team of students represented the school at the State Interschool Championships. They did a great job and ran well. They were fast races and the students were happy with their races.
We also had two students compete in the Speak Up public speaking awards. Cayley Adams and Huiru Pang trained hard and presented their speeches well. Congratulations on doing well and for representing your school proudly.
On Wednesday 12, Yr 5/6 students are representing the school at the State School Orienteering Championships at Lake Leschenaultia.
