Building good citizens at Leeming Primary School
Year 6 students at Leeming Primary School learn more than Maths and English. Before they graduate they’re expected to complete a program of volunteer work.
The work can be anything from helping raise funds for the P and C, volunteering at the local aged care home or just helping out a neighbour. It’s all in the spirit of teaching children how to be useful members of the community.
Reporter, Alex Hyman went to the school to meet Deputy Principal, Anne Thompson and year six students, Alisha DeSouza, Shambavi Ramachandran and Kate Braid.
