I hope that you had a relaxing Easter break. It always feels strange having this break separate from the holidays. We have a week and half left in the term and we have a lot to get through. Tomorrow the Year 5’s will be undertaking a trial of the NAPLAN online testing as a system check.
Tonight is the first time that we have introduced short parent interviews for Term 1. This innovation is designed to enable a short conversation and to allow for the highlighting of one area of improvement. Hopefully both school and families can work on this area together. We have expectations that this process will go well but will review it over the next few days.
We have had a positive Term 1. Student behaviour has been at a high level. The school wide positive behaviour strategies are impacting upon students’ thinking and it is great to see the behaviour of the week being demonstrated by the students.
Rolling out CONNECT has taken some time behind the scenes but has been very successful. We will be improving our usage of this form of communication as the year continues.
I hope that everyone has a great school holiday and we look forward to seeing everyone back for a ‘block- buster’ Term 2.
