This last newsletter for Term 2 sees us almost back to normal. Hopefully our virus numbers will keep moving in a positive way and we can keep these freedoms going into Term 3. At the moment we are back to eating together in the undercover area and having assemblies again.
We have a lot planned for Term 3!
Ms Thomson is set to return for Term 3. We thank Mrs Kidd for her work in the Deputy’s chair as she has done an excellent job.
Please have a safe and happy holiday and we will see you back at school Tuesday 21 July 2020
Parent Funded 1:1 BYOD Program 2021
There will be a lot of information coming about this at the start of next term. However, there is a strong plan to move to iPads for the 2021 Year 4 students. Please hold off on the purchase of laptops at this stage.
It has been great to see classes still doing their mindfulness practice. The students are regularly stopping, reflecting and using a variety of activities to be mindful. It has been a stressful term and mindfulness gives the students the tools to better deal with issues.
It is pleasing to have the toilet upgrade finished (Universal access this week). The students are appreciating the new and clean facilities. We have also started making them a more positive place with messages and posters.
Over the holiday the new playground equipment is being installed. This is being funded in a 50/50 arrangement with the P&C. It is great to see the amazing fundraising that has been undertaken providing the opportunity to upgrade the school in such a positive way.
Next term we are having a lot of structural painting completed as well as a resurface of the staff carpark.
Week 1: I follow the instructions of staff.
Week 2: I proudly wear my uniform.
Don’t forget this Thursday 02/07/2020 is Pyjama Day at school!
Please be mindful of the colder weather and send suitable footwear for outside activities. School hats must still be worn outside.
This will be a fun day with no cost.
