From The Principal – Fortnightly updates

It is amazing that we are now half way through term 4. We are working hard and the teachers are busily writing reports. As a school that focuses upon encouraging positive behaviour through positive rewards, we are looking forward to our end of term rewards. Most of the students are already looking forward to our water fun day. It is great that the student behaviour has been at a very high level.

Transition Day

In line with Leeming SHS ‘s Transition Day (Tuesday December 10) we will be holding a transition morning. Class allocation letters will go home Dec 6. Students will then have the opportunity to spend the morning with their new class group in their new class, mostly with the teacher that they will have next year. The students will then return to their class for the afternoon to ‘debrief’!

Yr 6 students who are not participating will assist in the Kindergarten class with Mrs Lynch.

End of Year Performance

Mrs Sutton has started teaching the Xmas songs for our end of year concert. This year will be different to other years but it will be a nice change and we are looking forward to a lovely evening.

Thank you

Recently we had a kind donation from the Williams family. This super cubby will provide a fantastic play area for all of the students in the Early Childhood Area. Thankyou for your kind addition to the school.

Today was Music Count Us In Day. We sang “We Are”. We did AUSLAN signs. Almost 100000 students around Australia sang the song too. I think “We Are” is the best Music Count Us In song ever.  By Matilda

WORLD ORIGAMI DAY

Did you know that November 11 is also World Origami Day? Students from Rooms 1/2, 10, & 11 celebrated it by folding paper into many interesting shapes.
